About this course
The Manual Handling in Childcare course is a brand new online awareness training program developed by Fluid Learning to meet the specific needs of those working with children in the early learning environment. Read on to find out why you should enrol in this program!
Course Content
The practice of safe manual handling within the education and care environment includes handling children as well as inanimate loads, such play equipment.
The Manual Handling in Childcare training program is broken into two parts:

- PART 2 – Careless practices, safety tips, industry specific manual tasks, pregnancy, physical fitness and hygiene.
Course Objectives
Health and safety legislation requires that all education and care staff engaged in manual tasks at work must be given training in safe manual handling techniques to minimise injury.
The Manual Handling in Childcare course is designed to meet these requirements and educate those working with young children to carry out their day to day roles and responsibilities safely and in a way that promotes career longevity.
This course is consistent with the Model Code of Practice for Hazardous Manual Tasks developed by Safe Work Australia.
